Homeopathy and Thyroid Issues
It seems that every other person today is dealing with thyroid imbalances. The thyroid is involved with almost every metabolic process in the body so when it’s off, the symptoms are pretty hard to deal with. Weight gain, feeling cold, fatigue, insomnia, hair loss, dry skin, menstrual irregularities, depression and more can make you feel miserable. Causes vary from person to person but the most common are:
Estrogen dominance and an inability to detoxify it
Vitamin D deficiency
Intestinal permeability
Exposure to blue light
Circadian rhythm disturbances
Iodine deficiency
Liver congestion
Nutrient deficiencies such as selenium
Food intolerances
EMF exposure
There are many ways to address thyroid issues from a holistic perspective but here are the recommendations from a homeopathic standpoint that will actually uproot the causes and creat balance and return to health.
Here is the hypothyroidism protocol:
Bromium 6c - two doses daily
Lycopodium Clavatum 30c in liquid - two doses daily
Do this for 8 - 12 weeks but monitor your thyroid markers because it may lessen the dose for medication as you follow the protocol. Please work closely with your doctor.
Remember to open your case with Camphor 200, 1 dose, first day
The more you can:
Remove foods completely that you know to be problematic
Restore your circadian rhythm, by getting 15 minutes of morning sun, no glasses, sunglasses or contact lenses
Eat seafood that is rich in iodine and other foods such as Brazil nuts that are rich in selenium
Protect your thyroid with EMF blocking scarves
Wear blue light blocking glasses as night
Avoid endocrine disruptors such as plastics, register tapes, etc.
Detox from estrogen by supporting the liver and taking DIM if needed
Provide essential minerals for thyroid support. I like CellCore CT Minerals that you add to your drinking water and it’s tasteless!
